Merry Christmas from the Nawtingales

It has been more than 8 years since the last time I performed on stage as part of a choir. It has been such a blessing to be part of the Nawtingales this year. Amidst the pandemic and what a year 2020 has been, I finally get to do something I have loved for years!

Doing a virtual choir is different than the regular choir experience with rehearsals conducted on Zoom and communication via FB messenger. It is more challenging because you have to find time to learn the songs and practice on your own, plus the pressure of recording audio and then videos. We also didn’t get to hear everyone sing and blend until the final product was complete. But through this experience, I met and gained new friends who are all passionate about singing and performing. Because it is online, we have members from all over the world who got to sing with us too, it wasn’t possible before yet possible now. I love how it shows that you really can do anything

2020 has been a tough year for everyone because of the pandemic, the eruption of Taal, and the typhoons we experienced. We hope that through our singing, we bring some joy into your lives as much as this whole experience brought comfort and escapism for all of us. Merry Christmas in advance!
